How to Change Behavior
Behavior is communication, and if we understand what it is communicating, we can change it. This session outlines the science of behavior, and trains staff in a 3-step method to change any behavior, from classroom disruptions to inappropriate bids for attention to truly dangerous behaviors. Staff will learn to 1) Identify the function, 2) Find a replacement behavior, and 3) Reinforce the replacement behavior.
